Cornelis Lelienbergh (vor/before 1626 - nach/after 1676)
Little is known about the life and work of Dutch painter Cornelis Lelienbergh. His œuvre, which consists mostly of hunting still lifes, some signed and dated, was evidently substantial. In 1646 he joined the Hague Guild of St Luke. Three years later he married Agnieta Abrahamsdr. van der Hennis, daughter of an art dealer. In 1656 he took part in the founding of the "Confrérie Pictura" in The Hague, a club of artists that split off from the Guild of St Luke. From 1657 to 1665 he was demonstrably in The Hague; the following year he moved to the Province of Zeeland, where he entered the civil service as a clerk, in the fort of Moerspeuy.
