Partial Closures

For centuries, the Residenz, the cathedral and St Peter’s Archabbey were places of outstanding festive culture and venues for an important musical tradition. In this tradition, festivals, concerts and events still take place in the DomQuartier today, which may lead to partial closures on individual days. You can call +43 662 8042 2109 or email office@domquartier.at for more information before your visit.

Cathedral organ loft closed:
Every day with the exception of Sundays and public holidays, “Music at Noon” takes place in the Cathedral, requiring closure of the organ loft for about 45 minutes. During worship services on Sundays and certain church holidays, the organ loft is also closed. At these times, the tour is redirected through the vestibule of the Cathedral.
